Hi, my name is Mette and I am 40 years old and live in Århus, Denmark together with my daughter. I study for a BSc (hons) in homeopathy and need to make some extra money during my studies.
Before I started to study homeopathy, I worked with visual concepts for interior design companies and TV. I still enjoy to surround myself with creative people and to also do my own pieces, as the ones you find here on my page.
I am very inspired by the Japanese philosophy ’wabi sabi’. Wabi sabi is defined as ”a beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. It is a beauty of things unconventional.”
All my pieces are made with a fascination of the process for the work in front of me, more than a focus on the end result. It’s more like playing and seeing where each piece of work wants to go.
In the moment I really enjoy working with tusch and watercolour paper. I drip the tusch onto the paper with a brush and let the drops draw the big fat black lines on the paper. I sometimes spray water on the paper, to add more unpredictable patterns. And sometimes I also mix the tusch with acrylic paint. It is a process I find extremely enjoyable.
All pieces are original and signed. They are shipped securely to anywhere in the world.
Please get in touch if you would like to hear more about the pieces or would like to make a purchase.
